JAG Indiana and Indiana Career Explorer

JAG Indiana and Indiana Career Explorer partner to help students better learn about career and college options. The Explorer tool allows students to explore their interests, gauge their work values and assess their job skills while matching them with potential careers and post-secondary educational options.

Every JAG student is required to complete the assessment tools available through Indiana Career Explorer as part of their career exploration.

Work Experience
Work experiences are designed to provide career exploration opportunities and assist youth in understanding in-demand employability skills, employer expectations, and retaining employment.
Internship
Internships allow students the opportunity to work, learn and earn. These opportunities open the doors for students to more clearly understand how companies function on a day-to-day basis, what challenges and opportunities employers face and ultimately help students gain an understanding of the tools they need to be successful.
Industry Recognized Certifications
Credentials developed or supported by business and industry to verify a student’s mastery of technical skills competencies in an occupational area that aligns with local economic standards and is approved by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
