A Gateway to Help Employers Meet Workforce Challenges

Employers face many challenges, but none more important than finding, training and retaining skilled employees. Keeping the right people in the right positions is a key to success. A new tool from DWD, the Employer Portal, will provide employers with solutions and resources to strengthen their workforce. The portal will interface with Indiana Career Connect, the state’s premier labor exchange system. Key features include:

  • A job description creation and posting tool
  • Guidance with talent recruitment
  • Up-to-date labor market information

To help Hoosier employers fill job vacancies, Indiana has created the Employer Training Grant. The Employer Training Grant reimburses employers who train, hire, and retain new or incumbent workers to fill in-demand positions within recognized job fields. The grant will reimburse employers up to $5,000 per employee who is trained, hired, and retained for six months, up to $50,000 per employer.
