Rehabilitation Counselors: 
Counsel individuals to maximize the independence and employability of persons coping with personal, social, and vocational difficulties that result from birth defects, illness, disease, accidents, or the stress of daily life. Coordinate activities for residents of care and treatment facilities. Assess client needs and design and implement rehabilitation programs that may include personal and vocational counseling, training, and job placement.

IC 25-22.5-10-1 Residency training and board certification required by health provider or insurer Sec. 1. If: (1) a hospital; (2) a health maintenance organization issued a certificate of authority under IC 27-13; (3) a preferred provider organization licensed under IC 27-8-11; (4) a health insurance company; or (5) any other similarly licensed entity; requires a physician to be residency trained, board certified, or eligible for certification in a medical specialty, it shall include residency training or certification approved by a national association founded in 1897 that accredits residency training programs and certifying boards for osteopathic physicians as criteria that satisfy the requirement.
